A truly atrocious film!!!


Kate Beckinsale thinks "I think it's time to kill my agent..."


Words are not enough to describe how ghastly, terrible and atrocious Underworld Evolution is! One-dimensional characters, wooden acting, banal dialogue, constant awkward exposition - it takes the prize for worst film of the year without a doubt! Oh, I know we're only barely into February, but truly, I doubt I'm going to see anything worse. Avoid this stinker at all costs; it's not even so bad as to be good, it's just baaaaaaaaad!

oh kate beckinsdale, she makes such bad choices, and then she ends up with the fn director/costar... ever since she was in serendipity i think with, um was it cusack, ive liked her, but she's picked really bad, but she's really um "very" attractive ! ill have to check imdb to see what stuart townsend work she has in the pipeline. ben

I know It's gonna be bad, bad I'm a sucker for vampires too, and Beckinsale, even though she can't act.

Looking at the rating though, I see 'Strong Sex Scene' which has been enough to sit me through countless bad German cracks at Brechtian art-flicks on late night SBS, and I could probably do one more.

I guess what I'm asking is, is there, you know, titty?

Labovnik. *shakes head* Dear me. Yes, there is a sex scene, and yep, there is an slow unzipping of the leather catsuit to reveal some mammary action. You really do need to get out more, I suspect. ;-)

The streets of old Fitzroy

I've lived in Fitzroy for 14 years, and long before I moved here spent some formative moment in its pubs and terrace houses. I have an unpublished novel that set's in Fitzroy in the 1940s (originally it was set in the 1950s but I've realised it was the wrong period). I love this suburb, even as it changes before my eyes, which is why I love articles and photographs and stories of its past.   From the Herald-Sun , here's a series of images of the old inner city slums that once characterised much of Fitzroy. And from The Age just yesterday, here's an article about a photographer who was documenting the vanishing post-war Fitzroy culture in 1973-74.  Happy reading.
